Linda and Mike were given a Family Portrait Giftcard as a present for their anniversary. Linda was a little hesitant about using it, but when they got a sprocker spaniel puppy it seemed like the perfect time to get some family photos! Like most mums and dads, Linda and Mike were focused on taking photos of their two girls, Maisie and Matilda. But we managed to get them both into the frame too for some family pictures that the girls will no doubt treasure as they get older!

The stunning Newstead Abbey in Nottingham made a great location for the photoshoot. The gardens are beautiful there and offer various backdrops. It was the home of Lord Byron and there is a definite gothic feel. We dropped on with the weather as it was a lovely summers day.
I love it when families choose places like this and take the time to explore. It gives them a chance to relax and have some fun - which always equals better pictures! And of course it's the best thing ever when they bring their dogs along. This little sprocker puppy was just adorable! It's the best time to get pictures with your dog as they're so cute - and small enough to be picked up for some absolutely adorable family photographs.
